International Class Student Admission Guidelines

Admission Criteria

Students who meet the criteria shown below can be considered for Hiroo Gakuen's International Course. There is no restriction on the number of students able to join the course.

(a) Students who have studied overseas for a year or more, have returned to Japan within the last three years, and who have at least an Eiken grade 2 level of English or its equivalent.
(b) Students who are studying at international schools in Japan. Please be aware that students who are foreign nationals must be legally authorized to study in Japan.

International Class (Advanced Group)
Present JHS 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade.
A small number of students only.

¢¨Assisted funding support system available for gifted students.
¢¨We are not recruiting students for the domestic programme.
Application Requirements
Students should have studied overseas for a year or more, have returned to Japan within the last three years, and have at least an Eiken grade 2 level of English or its equivalent.

¢¨Students who are currently studying at international schools in Japan should consult with Hiroo Gakuen before applying.
¢¨Students who are foreign nationals should have leagal authorization to study in Japan before applying.

Mathematics (Questions posed in English)¡¡50 points /50 minutes
Short Essay (Questions posed in Japanese)¡¡50 points /30 minutes
Interview (Conducted in English) Applicant Only¡¡15 minutes

Applicants who wish to be considered should make an appointment and bring the following documents to school on the day you visit us:

a) Evidence of school attendance and grades for the three previous academic years.
b) Evidence of TOEFL, EIKEN or locally registered test scores, plus any special study awards.
c) Copy of passport. (If the applicant holds foreign nationality, please include a copy of the visa.)

¢¨Please note that none of the submitted documents will be returned.
Application Procedure
Applicants are respectfully asked to use the prescribed form to transfer entrance exam fees and then submit evidence of payment along with the following documentation.

a. Entrance Application
b. Education History
c. School Admission Pledges
d. Certificate of bank transfer for payment of entrance exam fee.

Entrance Exam Result Announcement
Names of successful applicants with be announced on the day after the examination. More details about the times of announcement will be available at the time the examination is taken.
School entrance procedure
Successful candidates are asked to transfer entrance fees and tuition by 2 pm on the afternoon of Tuesday, 31st July.
¢¨Any failure to transfer the funds within the stated period will be treated as a cancellation of acceptance.
Sundry Expenses
¢¨Payment for 2012 School Year in April (Subject to change)
¡ÚEntrance Fee¡Û\388,000 ¡ÊJunior and Senior High Payment is the same.¡Ë
¡ÚSchool Fee¡Û\43,350 per month

Separate from the above stated amount, a deposit of \26,000 per month for junior high students and \28,000 per month for high school students should be made.

¢¨Please be aware that School Equipment Fees are also payable at \74,000 when the student enters the 2nd grade and \56,000 when the student enters the 3rd grade. When the student enters high school, an entrance fee of \349,200 is required.

Orientation
Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 at 5 pm
Before school starts, orientation sessions will be held for each grade. Parents should accompany students on this date.

Any personal information submitted for registration with Hiroo Gakuen shall only be used in meticulous accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, as well as Hiroo Gakuen¡Çs Information Protection Policy and will not be used for anything other than the reasons stated below:
