Compare, contrast, and contextualize the cultural, social, and political histories of various civilizations throughout time in World History.

Critical Thinking: Historical significance of subject material will be interpreted, analyzed, and identified through classroom discussions, activities, and projects.

Writing Target: Students will enhance both academic and creative writing skills in a series of homework assignments and projects relating to the subject material. The main components of academic writing will be covered throughout the course, which will culminate into one final writing project at the end of each term. Additionally, historical fiction writing will also be explored in the first person narrative in a series of homework writing assignments.

* Weekly lectures with guided note taking sheets that should be later used to study for mid-term and final exams.
* Group activities, discussions, debates, and presentations will take place periodically in a collaborative learning environment throughout the entirety of teach term.
* Individual homework assignments which introduce or enhance writing techniques and methods.
* Google Classroom will be used for all handouts and necessary study material for students to access at anytime.

As will be mentioned in class, our motto is, "The grade takes care of itself." Together we will practice building habits required for personal and academic success. This means that if a student is willing to put in the work to the best of their ability, be on time every time, cooperate in groups as a team player, and actively participate in all classroom activities with a positive attitude, positive results will surely be guaranteed in and outside of M2 World History class this year!
