到達目標

This is an introductory political science course designed to make students begin to think about topics of governance, power, peace, and ideology. It is the first half of a two-year course. While you’re not expected to come in with any prior knowledge, you will be expected to begin to consume news and media outside of class, including about current events and other important topics, to help generate healthy class discussions.

 Expand your knowledge so you will feel confident discussing a variety of political topics.
 Become aware of and stay up to date with important political issues around the world.
 Improve research/writing skills. Write thoughtful and compelling papers on political topics.
 Increase your interest in politics and government. Discover what issues matter most to you.

担当者からのアドバイス

Student contribution is necessary for the class to function. To achieve this, you must complete any reading assignments or work that is assigned. Volunteer your ideas and don't be afraid to disagree. Come to class ready to learn. I look forward to learning all about political science this year!
