到達目標
This is a course of study with the purpose of developing students’ ability to interpret novels and poetry with a focus on theme and personal response to literature.
Students will be able to read and respond to significant works of literature in terms of:
Structural features of literature
Narrative analysis
Character analysis
Themes
Contrasting points of view
Students will be able to write clear, coherent, and focused personal responses to literature, which is supported with evidence from the text, and exhibits awareness of the audience and purpose.
授業の進め方・学習方法
Activities will be content-driven and the methods in which the content is studied will be wide-ranging from teacher-centered lecture-style classes, to group activities, to individual research and study activities.
