M1 Science 2 is a biology course for junior high school students. Biology is the study of life. In this course, we will learn about the origins of life and how life is maintained by studying cell structure, animal diversity and the human body. The basic ideas explored in this course help you realise how biology affects the world around you and will prepare you for more detailed study in the years to come.

In the first term, we will learn about the unique characteristics of living things and how to observe and record them.
The second term will mainly be focused on the study of the structure and functions of plants, but also some animal biology.
In the third term, we will continue to learn about the activities that are carried out inside the body of animals.

授業の進め方・学習方法

This course is taught through a combination of classes and laboratory experiments. There will be one hour of classes and one hour of labs per week. Lesson materials are based on a translated version of the domestic Biology textbook.
