オーストラリア短期留学の様子を生徒の日記とともにお伝えします。

Monday 6th August
Today, I went Matthew Flinders Anglican College for the first day of lessons.
First, we gathered in the library and learned about the Australian culture and rules. Though I didn’t get any new information, it was fun.
Second, we had “morning tea” time. There is no time like that in Japan. It is a short break time in the morning when you can have a snack. We had a good time.
Third, we went to the school farm. There, there were chickens, ducks, sheep and one emu. The most interesting thing was feeding the sheep. There were many mandarin trees so we could pick some fruit and feed them that.
Finally, Clare (the homestay program director) drove home me to my homestay house via the supermarket. She bought a lot of food for tomorrow’s cooking class.
It was a great day.

Today, I went to the farm at Matthew Flinders. There, I saw chickens, sheep and an emu for the first time. I was very surprised because the emu was very tall and can run very fast. I picked up and held a chicken. I don’t like animals so much but the chicken was quiet, so I could pick it up and take a photo. It was a lot of fun.
After school, we went to the supermarket. It was so big and we could buy lots of things. Tonight, we cooked inari for dinner with Paige and Rennay. They knew inari so we could cook together. We are going to eat inari for lunch tomorrow, so I hope it tastes good.
